High Angle Rescue Consultation

Safetyscope will work with our clients to develop a rescue plan that works for your facility. Rope rescue in the industrial setting has to find a balance between technical rope rescue capability and the practical demands of equipment, manpower and time required to train and maintain training of personnel.

Our training features the HIGHLIFT SL which is intended for more simple rescue and/or recovery scenarios. This equipment is portable and lightweight, and is suitable for quick evacuation, or any other high-angle application that requires a speedy rescue and recovery, the unit is CSA Z259.2.3-99 certified.

Our equipment is capable of 525 feet of rope (160 metres), and can carry the weight of 2 individuals.

It does not require knots, pulleys, or weight conversions and has a built-in brake. This eliminates the danger of “free-fall”. The maximum descent rate is 0.8 metres per second under all load conditions and is easy to control – only requiring a forefinger and thumb.

One person can operate it effectively, including a full rescue. It does not require belaying or other individuals holding back the load.

Horizontal rescues are possible & easy as it does not have to be set up directly overhead of the casualty; any angle is fine, providing that an edge protector is available

High angle training is recommended for personnel who would encounter rescue situations that involve the vertical environment or any scenario that risks of falling from height exist.
